Carob seeds بذور الخروب

Carob seeds are the small, hard seeds found inside the pods of the carob tree. Known for their durability and uniform size, they were historically used as a standard for weighing gold. Rich in fiber and antioxidants, carob seeds are also valued for their gum extract—locust bean gum—commonly used as a natural thickener and stabilizer in food products.

بذور الخروب هي بذور صغيرة وصلبة توجد داخل قرون شجرة الخروب، وتتميز بصلابتها وتناسق حجمها، مما جعلها تُستخدم تاريخيًا كوحدة وزن للذهب. تحتوي على نسبة عالية من الألياف ومضادات الأكسدة، وتُستخرج منها مادة "صمغ الخروب" التي تُستخدم كمُكثف ومُثبت طبيعي في العديد من المنتجات الغذائية.
